This is now my studio space! It's lacking a bit in the way of a table and storage, but it looks nice at the moment and the light in the afternoon makes it the nicest room in the house. I am half way through my first reupholstering project. I have had an old Parker Loom chair for years that I love, but it has looked a bit tired and old, well, since I bought it! I read an article on how to upholster and inspired by the lady's matter of fact advice, decided to give it a go. It basically involved deconstructing the item and then rebuilding in the same way. For the top half, it's actually more hammering than sewing. I just need to get my sewing machine out now so that I can finish the base cushion and make a pretty coordinating cushion to go on top. Lovely. An old paperweight of my Nan's keeps a few pieces of inspiration together.
