Book launch

So, last night was my official launch night for my book Glitter and Earth: Tales of Magic and Wonder.

The Cafe Dog and Rabbit was the perfect place to host the event as it had inspired one of the fairies in my book - the Rabbit Fairy.

It was a cold and wet day in St Just, but there was a lot of fairy magic at the launch.

The wood burner made the cafe toasty warm and candlelight made the venue cosy and intimate.

My little girl was happy to play dress up for the event and she had an amazing time unending around with some new found friends.

To be honest, I didn't really know what to expect. I didn't know if anyone was going to show up and I had no expectation of sales.

It was really wonderful though to see lots of friendly familiar faces appear and congratulate me!

The organic, vegan wine was also pretty good too!

For me the event felt like the end of a lot of work and promotion, but I know that actually this is just the beginning!

I am keen to go into schools and try to inspire people with my fairies and the experience of the 100 day project. It will be exciting to see what people make of book first hand and see what ideas they come up with.

Glitter and Earth has secured its position on Amazon and I'm incredibly lucky to already have some amazing reviews!

Now I need to get it into the REAL world! This might take a little more work, but I'm happy to take it slowly and build good relationships with bookstores! One shop at a time!
